Usually, you have a common interest or they are a friend of a friend who started talking with you. Emotional cheating is when you are depending on a person of the opposite sex for emotional support more than you are depending on your partner for that same support. Some final thoughts… Keep in mind that just because a statement is true, it doesn’t mean you’ve crossed the line into the affair zone. It may just be a sign that you’re headed in that direction, and unless you want to go down that path you may need to take some different actions.
