Wanner Ford Celebrates Second Anniversary in Ephrata.

Ephrata, PA – Wanner Ford is please to announce their second anniversary as the authorized Ford dealer in the Ephrata area.  “The papers were signed May 16^th, 2008 and we are excited about starting our third year…” Said Michael Wanner, President of Wanner Ford.  “We experienced some of the most serious economic turmoil since the Great Depression over past two years.  The support from the local community has been great and we look forward to many more years here in Ephrata.”

“We are very proud to represent Ford” said Wanner. “When we started we had no idea of what was about to happen in the automobile industry or the economy in general. We watched the price of gas hit $4.50/gallon, we saw premier banks fail, and then many dealers closed their doors. We are extremely grateful for our loyal customers and that we are surviving the economic turmoil that continues to haunt many businesses today.

Wanner Ford purchased the assets of the former Victory Ford and began independent operation as the factory authorized Ford dealer in the Ephrata area.  “There were a lot of questions in the beginning; Who we were, Why Ford, Why now, Why Ephrata, and is Ford still going to be in business?” said Wanner.  “My answer was simple. I did the research and I am extremely confident in Bill Ford, Jr., Alan Mulally, and the Ford Plan.  After I read up on Mulally, I was confident that Bill Ford made the right choice in giving Mulally the reins to Ford and that he would execute the Ford Plan effectively.”  “I still remember that some of the banks I talked to back in 2007 had serious doubts about Ford but and look at them now!”

Wanner Ford is extremely proud of Ford Motor Company for many reasons other than the fact that they did not take the federal bail out money or that they did not file for bankruptcy. “We as team here at Wanner Ford are proud of the quality that Ford is putting into all of their new vehicles. We sell a lot of new cars and see very few back for any quality issues.  With quality equal to or better than that of Honda or Toyota we feel so proud to part of an American car company that can compete with the best of the imports in quality and craftsmanship” adds Wanner. “Its great to stand up and say we’re proud to work at a Ford dealership.”

While the last two years were brutal economically there was some good news at Wanner Ford.
